Remember the song, “Inchworm, inchworm, measuring the marigolds, seems to me you’d stop and see how beautiful they are.” Danny Kaye in Hans Christian Anderson, the movie. I sang that song in elementary school and now there are times it haunts me as pleasant memories of childhood.
As a children’s writer, I spend much of my time living back in that world. And I have to say that I’m inching my way closer to completing my MG novel. It has kept me so busy, along with my other daily life activities.
And I have two agents to send the story to. Two requests to see the full manuscript, so far. And although my brain is mush and I’m living back in the days of adolescence … I’m inching ever closer. And that’s a beautiful thing!
